Andrew J Taylor is a firm of solicitors with a difference.

Established in 1990, Andrew J Taylor combines city expertise with out-of-town friendliness and accessibility: it’s an innovative approach which has made us the choice for commercial heavyweights and small businesses alike.   But whether our clients are large or small, they all receive the same extraordinary level of personal service and expertise  - without paying exorbitant city prices.

From general company and commercial work to commercial property and litigation; from employment law to wills, probate and trust, Andrew J Taylor covers the spectrum of legal requirements for any commercial operation.

What’s more, we’re fully conversant with the latest technology: whether it’s email or electronic forms, we’ve got our finger on the button - we’ve even got a direct link to the land registry.

And it doesn’t stop there: we apply the same professionalism and attention to detail to domestic conveyancing as we do to our commercial law services.  So if you’re looking for a fresh approach, talk to us.  You’ll appreciate the difference.

Wills, Trust and Probate

Why make a will?

  • To make provision for your family and friends
  • To ensure you pay as little tax as possible
  • To appoint guardians for any children under 18
  • To increase the age your children receive their inheritance and to prevent it being spent foolishly
  • To provide for partners and to ensure that family from second marriages are adequately provided for
  • To alter the order of distribution set out in the intestacy rules
  • To inform your next of kin of your funeral requirements
  • To ensure that you appoint appropriate executors to manage your estate until your children are old enough to inherit

You do not need to be elderly or wealthy to make a will and the points above should give you enough reason to contact us.

In addition we advise all our will clients to prepare a Lasting Power of Attorney appointing somebody to act on their behalf if they become incapable of dealing with their own affairs due to illness or injury. Statistics show that this is becoming more common. It is expensive and time consuming to apply to the Court of Protection for someone to be appointed on his or her behalf.

For a basic will (single person / couple wanting mirror wills) we charge £110.00 + vat and between £110 - £180.00 for a more complex will.

For set of Lasting Powers of Attorney we charge £325.00 + vat + Registration fee

To make an appointment please speak to Andrew Taylor.
